Emergency Power Systems

When an Emergency Power System (EPS), or backup generator, is tested periodically for functionality, the contents of the fuel storage tank are agitated. If water and/or contaminants are present, the filters on the diesel engines will clog causing the EPS to fail.
To prevent EPS failure, fuel in storage should be routinely inspected and treated with inhibitor, and tanks should be cleaned as necessary. Natural processes within fuel, faulty equipment and moisture cause fuel quality problems in all fuel storage tanks. It is our job to educate our clients about these issues, analyze their fuel, inspect their tanks, correct any existing fuel storage problems and provide preventive fuel and tank maintenance.
