How it Works

Why Float the Pick-Up Line?
Standard fuel pick-up lines are plumbed 3” to 5” from the floor of the tank to maximize storage capacity. When contaminants and water fall to the tank bottom, they are delivered to expensive equipment causing damage and failure (see What Happens in a Tank). The problem is compounded when the settled particles are agitated.
The solution to this ongoing problem is our unique, patented fuel delivery system, the FLOATube. Instead of delivering fuel from the bottom of the tank, the FLOATube delivers fuel from a higher point, well above the area where contamination develops.
Compliance
State, local and federal agencies mandate regulatory compliance. Organizations such as the National Fire Protection Association recommend that steps be taken to clean or replace aged fuel.
